What to Expect

Sessions are typically 1.5 to 2 hours long and led entirely by your horse. Louise facilitates; the horse decides. That means what emerges is what needs to emerge — and it's different every time.

Sometimes things get harder before they get easier. When a horse begins to release stored trauma or tension, the process can temporarily surface behaviour or physical symptoms before resolution. This is normal, it's healthy, and Louise prepares you for it. A horse that seems more reactive in the days after a session is often simply in the process of letting go.

The results, when they come, are often remarkable. A horse that couldn't be approached. A pony that was tense and difficult for years. A horse that went through wire and physically recovered in 24 hours. A horse sleeping in Louise's hands within a session. These aren't isolated stories — they're what happens routinely when an animal is finally given a choice.

You may not understand what happens. Even if you can't explain it, Louise talks you through every stage: what your horse selected, what it likely signals, and how you can continue after the session.

Self selection is the basis of any session with your horse but is supported when appropriate by:

Homeopathy remedies

Homeopathy

Homeopathic remedies support the body's natural healing response by stimulating the immune system and addressing deep-seated imbalances at an energetic level.

Flower essences

Flower Essence

Flower essences work on an emotional and vibrational frequency to help shift patterns of stress, fear, and emotional holding, promoting balance and resilience.

Kinesiology muscle testing

Kinesiology Muscle Testing

This biofeedback technique uses the body's own responses to identify areas of imbalance and determine which remedies or interventions will best support the horse's system.

Energy and body work

Energy & Body Work

Complementary techniques that address tension, trauma, and energetic blockages held in the body, supporting the horse's natural ability to process and release what no longer serves.

In this way, we can approach healing from many angles and find the combination that works best for each individual horse and their unique priorities.

The Work Doesn't End When Louise Leaves

One of Louise's core commitments is to leave you better equipped than when she arrived. After every session, you'll understand more about your horse's patterns, stressors, and needs than you did before. In many cases, Louise provides simple protocols you can continue between sessions — empowering you to be your horse's first responder.

This is part of why Louise enjoys an exceptionally high repeat client rate. The work builds and deepens. And the more you learn to trust your horse's signals, and your own instincts, the more effective every session becomes.

Think of it as equine first aid with a botanical toolkit. Once you've seen how your horse responds, you'll want to have the basics at hand.
